What are Spirulina Capsules

Spirulina is one of the small number of plant sources of vitamin B12, commonly found only in animal tissues. 3g of Spirulina supplies 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and contains more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an comparitive helping of liver. Spirulina is a green-blue algae. The term spirulina is from the Latin word for spiral denoting the physical make up of the organism when it forms swirling, microscopic strands.
